Timberland Enterprises, Inc. was formed in 1983 as a forestry herbicide distributor for manufacturers dealing in the forest industry at that time. Since then, Timberland has grown to hold the dominant position in this market by fulfilling the needs of our customers and representing all of the herbicide manufacturers in this market today. In 1989, a new division was created to focus exclusively on the utility, right of way, and industrial markets. Today, Timberland employs over 100 full time staff members, with more than 60 dedicated to the forestry and right of way sales markets. We maintain 11 strategically located warehouses to effectively service each client’s expectations. The sales territory spans from Texas to Maine. The IVM Group consists of salespersons with many years of experience. Their credentials include applicator certification, ISA certified Arborists, and experience in bareground, right of way, drainage, and roadside vegetation control. Current major utility customers include Entergy, Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power, Mississippi Power, Duke Power, Santee Cooper, Southern Pine EPA, and Oglethorpe Power. Right of way services, such as GPS mapping, post application audits, and walk downs, have been completed for major utility companies. Our goal in the IVM Group is to provide our clients a full range of right of way services not provided by any other organization in the U.S. The Forestry Group consists of salespersons servicing the herbicide needs of all the major timber companies in the southeast and eastern U.S. Our sales team uses their professional abilities to reduce herbicide costs and increase the production of our nation’s natural resources to meet the needs of our future generations. We can assist our clients in adhering to the AF & PA Sustainable Forestry Initiative by developing silvicultural systems that will sustain the productivity of their ownership. This group prides itself in their ability to write effective cost saving prescriptions and monitor the results across several years of production. The salespeople are located close to their clients in order to effectively service their needs. |
