UAP TIMBERLAND Services
Authorized Distributor For All Major Forestry Products
UAP TIMBERLAND is a fully authorized distributor for all of the major forestry
herbicide manufacturers, including Agrevo, BASF, Dow AgroSciences,
DuPont, Monsanto, and Novartis. Due to the full line of products we distribute,
our forestry salespeople offer customers diverse herbicide tools to meet their
forestry needs.
Forestry Warehouses
Forestry companies are currently being served by our strategically located
warehouses in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Mississippi, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Each warehouse
location has delivery trucks with CDL drivers to effectively service each
customer's needs. For the location nearest you, please see the map in our
brochure.
Warehouse Inspection
Each of our warehouses is state-inspected on a regular basis. In addition to
state inspection, UAP TIMBERLAND also inspects each warehouse on a yearly basis.
Container Recovery and Disposal
Container recovery and disposal is a value-added service that UAP TIMBERLAND
provides its major customers. UAP TIMBERLAND participates in several cooperative
programs aimed at helping dispose of empty pesticide jugs and drums.
Field Prescriptions By Foresters
Our forestry sales personnel are professionals who fully understand today's
practices and objectives. Their expertise is utilized to develop cost effective
and environmentally sound herbicide prescriptions for use in site preparation,
conifer release, and herbaceous weed control activities.
Warehousing Programs
Many of our customers do not have the pesticide storage facilities to store
their products at their location. UAP TIMBERLAND can develop a customized
warehousing agreement with its customers who are in need of storage services.
Refrigerated Transportation of Seedlings
UAP TIMBERLAND has transported tree seedlings for several clients, including
Champion International, International Paper, and the Potlatch Corporation. This
has relieved the customer from the tedious responsibility of scheduling truck
lines to deliver their trees.
Inventory Returns
Unused product purchased from UAP TIMBERLAND can be returned at the end of the
season. The product must be in unopened containers in good condition.
Safety Training
Our personnel are certified and experienced in training on a variety of
topics including Worker Protection Standards and Hazardous Materials. We have
assisted many of the industries' employees in certification training for these
subject areas.
Demonstration Plots
When customers have recurring problems with species control, the best method
of solving the problem is with demonstration plots. UAP TIMBERLAND has assisted
clients in plot layout and prescribing trial options that control the species as
desired.
New Research Plots
When new products are introduced into the herbicide market, this gives us the
opportunity to sample the product to see if it meets our needs. We work with
manufacturers to obtain product samples for customers who are interested in
trying new herbicide methods. Since the new product samples are not available to
the general public, strict confidentiality of the results of product testing
must be maintained. UAP TIMBERLAND has employees experienced in meeting the research
criteria developed by the Weed Science Society of America.
Product Performance Protection
UAP TIMBERLAND is often called upon to be a negotiator when product performance
complaints arise. This allows us to help resolve the issue in a fair manner,
while at the same being an advocate for our customer's concerns. We have
achieved a high degree of respect from both manufacturers and customers in our
ability to resolve product performance complaints.
Product Performance Evaluation
UAP TIMBERLAND constantly monitors herbicide treatment performance over a broad
geographic region. Our personnel are trained in determining the activity and
performance of herbicides at the levels required by our customers. UAP TIMBERLAND
assists customers in meeting their objectives using a minimal amount of product
for application. UAP TIMBERLAND can also provide post-application evaluation
summaries to our customers. These services not only promote good product
stewardship, but also good ethical stewardship for our environment.
Year End Product Use Summaries
Following application season, UAP TIMBERLAND prepares product use summaries and
reports customized to meet the individual needs of our customers. Our clients
have benefited from these reports over the years.
Vendor Sourcing
Due to the extensive number of applicators that we serve, UAP TIMBERLAND can
refer potential vendors to our customers for custom application and forestry
services. UAP TIMBERLAND takes great pleasure when we can turn problems into
positive opportunities for all parties concerned.
Flexible Ordering Procedures
UAP TIMBERLAND prides itself for being able to serve both the customer's need for
simplicity and the manufacturer's requirements for tracking product. Forestry
operations are quite dynamic and demand flexibility in forecasting and meeting
the customer's needs at application time. We at UAP TIMBERLAND initiate the
necessary actions to improve and simplify our ordering procedures for customers.
GIS/GPS Services

contents as the product progresses. The workbooks contain tract maps,
recommendations, application reports, and post-application printouts showing the
helicopter track. |
