Space Imaging, Inc. is a premier global provider of high-resolution satellite imagery and a recognized leader in the field of remote sensing. You have likely seen their imagery on news broadcasts, in magazines, and in newspapers. In September 1999, Space Imaging launched the world’s first high-resolution commercial earth imaging satellite, IKONOS. The company also owns or has marketing rights to a constellation of remote sensing satellites already on orbit. These include the U.S. Landsat satellites, the Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) satellites, Canada's RADARSAT, and the European Space Agency's Radar Satellite.

High resolution imagery available from Space Imaging ranges from a one meter panchromatic (black and white) product to the four meter multispectral imagery which contains data from the three visible bands and the near infrared. A one meter “fused” product is also available. This product combines the spectral properties of the four meter imagery with the resolution of the one meter imagery. Because of its large coverage area, satellite imagery is very competitive with traditional aerial photography. Imagery from Space Imaging is geo-referenced and suitable for integration into your existing GIS. It is also suitable for many types of digital analysis.
